KASTURBA PANDA KI PANTIE

“Kasturba Panda ki Pantie” is the story of a frustrated wife of failed businessman Ranjan Panda. Ranjan, a compulsive gambler, realizes that he must let out the guest room of his Sundar Nagar apartment in order to recover his monetary losses. He puts the room on rent but fails to attract prospective tenants, until, one day the famed Sundar Nagar Diwali Mela comes along. Bollywood’s bad-boy Salman Khan is poised to make an appearance at the event and Kasturba, being a huge Sallu fan rushes to the mela to catch a glimpse of the superstar. As she stretches on her tiptoes to get a good view of the man, her petticoat and panties slip off. Chaos ensues. And all of a sudden, the number of parties ‘interested’ in

taking up Ranjan’s rental offer skyrocket. 

The Play ‘Kasturba Panda ki Pantie’ was first performed at the Akshara Theatre in November (2012) & then in February (2013). The play made a return to the theatre circuit after 7 long years in 2019.

 ‘Kasturba Panda Ki Pantie’ has now been performed across NCR a total of 29 times. 23 times at The Akshara National Classical Theatre of India (2012,2013 & 2019), New Delhi, once at TLR Cafe, New Delhi (2013) & 5 times at The Piano Man Jazz Club, Gurugram (2019). 

The play is produced by Farhad Colabavala & Madhav Mehta. Directed by Madhav Mehta & all characters are played by Farhad Colabavala.
